CLT completes delivery of full-day training program for O'Neill & Brown Plumbing, Electrical & Fire
CLT were engaged by O'Neill & Brown to provide company and trade specific training to their workers. The training involved 20 sessions over a 10 week period and 218 O'Neill & Brown employees completed the training. CLT developed materials to ensure that employees received training that addressed the main risks to their business. The identified higher risk areas were Manual Handling, Electrical safety and Working at Heights.
CLT utilised WHS Legislation, Codes of Practice, Standards and company specific procedures and SWMS to develop courses in Manual Handling and Electrical Awareness. These courses were beneficial to employees and also clearly demonstrated that workers have been trained in each area. The working at heights course that was delivered utilised off the shelf materials for RIIWHS204D Working at Heights, but was made to be company and industry specific by the inclusion of the company working at height SWMS and case studies of real life working at heights material from other construction sites in Australia.
